![]() I afraid that Kobo will use similar design for Sage case and they don't post weight in specs for Kobo Sage SleepCover Sleeve. I'll probably use some generic neoprene sleeve as a case for now - I don't trust Kobo making lightweight origami case for Sage (similar case for Elipsa with many magnets and stylus holder add ~300 grams). ![]() I hope there will be third party cases available for Sage in few months. I love third party origami case I had for Forma - lightweight and handy. I'd expect Sage screen and UI to be fast enough (assuming that screen and CPU is the same type with Elipsa). I'm not planning to get Stylus for Sage as of now - I have reMarkable 2 and it dwarfs Kobo Elipsa with best in industry note taking experience - stellar responsiveness and notetaking software usability. I hated the weight of the Elipsa case and wobbly stylus tip. I've tried Elipsa - UI and screen was snappy enough, but Elipsa too large to carry around is not waterproof and the case makes is so heavy it is unusable. Small show stopper for me - Kobo doesn't allow to sync book position for sideloaded books - but I think I'll live with it in exchange for modern, fast, waterproof, 8" screen device with buttons from Amazon Kindle competitor. Forma's integration with pocket is also useful. So I've returned Forma - hoping for model refresh to come soon. ![]() I liked Kobo Forma's 8" screen size, but I'm spoiled with fast UI and screen refresh rate in Oasis. So I was looking into Kobo devices and I like them a lot - but all of them had one or two things lacking when compared with Oasis. Kobo won me with Sage.Ĭurrently I use Kindle Oasis 2019, but its battery don't hold more then 2-3 days. I was hoping for Kindle Oasis update this year and use my old Oasis 2019 with dying battery for trade in. After you’ve added your note, you can view or remove the note. You may sometimes have to rotate it a few times, but it kicks in eventually. The ereader will also automatically adjust to suit landscape or portrait orientation. The buttons on the bezel of the device make it easy to flick through pages quickly. The Kobo Forma may not have an all-metal design, but it's comfortable to hold when you're reading and you'll find the display clear enough to read a variety of books comfortably. It's worth noting that the Kobo Forma is also waterproof, so you can read this in the bath or at a beach without worrying about damaging it from a splash of water. It may just be less ideal for those who want to read graphic novels or comics. Read and write comfortably on a 10.3' touchscreen with ComfortLight PRO to reduce blue light and ease eyestrain. The display here is E Ink, so everything you read will be in black and white but the picture is clear enough for the average book. Write directly on eBooks and PDFs with Kobo Elipsa 2E’s improved note-taking experience. The touchscreen itself was as speedy as you’d expect from an ereader and responsive enough, but we just find the buttons a touch easier than swiping the display. On the edge where you’ll grasp the device you’ll find two large buttons for cycling through pages, which we found easier to use than the touchscreen. ![]()
